Advanced EO once again stepped up with a generous donation to Moustaches for Kids OC this year -- a community of moustache “growers” who raise money once a year for a local children’s charity. For 30 days, the chapter’s growers all do their best to channel Tom Selleck – growing what they hope will turn out to be an impressive display of follicular forestry to adorn their upper lip. They’re inevitably asked, “What’s with the stache?” and that, of course, is their opportunity to explain their purpose of raising awareness, and dollars, for deserving kids.
This year, M4KOC was growing for Camp Conrad Chinnock, a local camp dedicated to helping children and their families better understand and manage their Type 1 diabetes, serving over 2,500 families annually from various backgrounds in the Southern California area. The programs and events they provide through education, support groups, family retreats, and youth camping programs are designed to see each and every child develop life-saving skills and reach a new level of confidence and self-esteem.
